He is an Expert at building Lean across an entire business and making Continuous Improvement methodologies show consistent improvements to the company bottom line. He helps manufacturers to build better processes, engage their staff more and by doing so keep the best customers and build bigger margins and benefits every month that are sustainable and predictable.

Blair Oickle is an Associate Director for Pratt & Whitney Canada and is based out of P&WC’s Halifax Operations site. Blair manages Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing. He is one of 25 certified CORETM PRINCIPLES within Raytheon Technologies. CORETM stands for Customer Oriented Results and Excellence and is Raytheon Technologies Operating System. CORETM provides a common language, toolset, and methodology and is a framework for how Pratt & Whitney operates.

John Bushen is currently serving as the Director of Appetizer Business, with over 30 years of experience in the food industry, with the Oxford Food Group. John is committed to lifelong learning and has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
He has honed his expertise in the intricacies of the food sector and a deep understanding of production, quality control and market trends. With a proven track record for leading high performing teams to drive success in the industry, John drives with a passion for innovation and operational excellence allowing Oxford to compete globally.

Ian Penny serves as the Continuous Improvement Coordinator at CKF Inc., located in Hantsport, NS. With an impressive tenure of 29 years at the company, Ian has held various roles, including positions in material control, as well as shipping and receiving. Since 2012, he has taken on the role of coordinator, spearheading numerous projects that have culminated in significant savings for CKF Inc.

In 2017, Ian further solidified his expertise by obtaining his Lean Green Belt certification through Lean Sensei. His commitment to operational excellence is also demonstrated through his membership in the Institute for Operations Excellence (IOE), formerly known as the Lean Consortium, since 2015.

Michel “Mitch” Raymond is Nova Scotia’s Vice President for Canadian Manufacturers. With over 33 years of manufacturing and private sector experience, he draws upon extensive business knowledge and experience and integrates a people-centric approach to drive improvement and growth.

Mitch is passionate about supporting individuals and organizations in their pursuit of excellence. He is a licensed corporate coach facilitator with Corporate Coach U, a qualified administrator of the DiSC™, The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™, MBTI™ & Strong Interest Inventory (SII™) and other assessments. He received his Bachelor of Commerce from Athabasca University and has extensive experience as a facilitator in Safety, Lean, Green Sustainability and ISO/Quality Management Systems & Auditing.
